Kya Bliss Kapur came into the world on January 28th, 2010 weighing 3 pounds 11 ounces. She followed her twin sister, Jasmin, who arrived a few minutes earlier. After a short stay in the NICU, Kya was reunited with her twin sister, and Kristen and Pavan were excited to have the family all together.

At their 8 week doctor check up, Kya was diagnosed with Leukemia. She was immediately sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee and began receiving chemotherapy the next day. Kristen, Jasmin, and Kya all live in Memphis while Kya undergoes her treatments. Pavan travels to Memphis every weekend to be with the family. The doctors estimate that Kya's treatment will last 2 to 3 years.
